Starting Stats

I am committing myself to being a "Before" for the last time in my life. I know that I am going to make mistakes, I know that I have to admit those mistakes before I can grow in this journey. I am going to learn from my mistakes and not give up or belittle myself for eating ice cream after dinner. I am not going to beat myself up when my calories are in the red at the end of the day. So what? Tomorrow is a new day, I can work out harder to make up for that splurge. Enough ranting and on to what everyone wants to know.

I am fighting with myself as I write this whether or not I want to publish this post. I have never been so vulnerable about myself in such a public setting. I dated my last boyfriend for over three and a half years and he did not know these things about me. So I am emotionally stripping myself down to bare bones here, I hope that this can inspire one other person to start on a journey of loving their body and taking back their healthy.

I plan on writing a further out goal blog post for distant goals, but this is as good of an outlet as any to talk about my "Goal Weight." I would like to lose 46 pounds and weigh 150 pounds. That seems like such a huge number, and I cannot imagine what I will look like when I reach that goal, but I cannot wait to find out.

June Fitness Goals

For me, a goal is much more tangible if I write it down. I have begun a personal fitness journey. And I could not be more excited about it! I started a gym membership last week at a gym that is very close to my job and they have another location close to my apartment. I also have unlimited guest passes and I can take anyone along with me! So how is that for no excuses! I will do two check-ins for my fitness goals, one halfway through the month and another at the end of the month. I am hoping that I can find a community to connect with so that I feel motivated to continue reaching my goals! Here goes nothing:

-Drink more water (I do not want to include a specific number here because that might set me up for failure)
-Soda-Free Summer (my roommate's idea, we are also trying to cut out juice)
-Exercise four days a week (running, pilates, yoga, whatever it takes to get my booty moving!)
- Get ahold of my Blogilates Fit Journal and start putting it to use!

I am going to keep it simple this month, I even debated on making my goal exercising three days a week. But I will make sure to pack a gym bag so that I can work out on my lunch breaks. It is time for me to start taking my health as seriously as possible. Healthy is the new skinny, after all!
